Examples of Virtual and In-Person Experiences

This session was conducted with a rapidly growing pharmaceutical company’s executive leadership and operation team, based in both India and the United States. Due to fast-changing environments, the team needed to better define their cultural norms and expectations. Inside the session, we created a baseline of trust using the check-in process. On average, teams that use the check-in see a 30% reduction in team meeting time after one year of utilization.

Then, we used a personality assessment results to highlight the strengths, differences, and gap areas of the team. We named current state of team dynamics. Then, we projected future state of the team and best case scenario for operating norms. We outlined clear next steps and tools to create the intended team norms.

The session with the People Leadership team was intended to shift the perspective of internal team members from accidental fear to intentional safety. Inside the session, we created open conversation of the changes inside the company and made a plan for the people leadership team’s approach to creating team and cross-functional psychological safety.

A group of highly technical PhD scientists are also leaders inside a highly leveraged non-profit that performs government research. After the pandemic, the team’s executive wanted to better define their leadership team’s culture and expectations. This session used two days of experiential sessions to define their team’s culture strategy, gain consensus on their leadership approach.

In this virtual session, an engineering team explored how to use conflict as a catalyst for better collaboration and problem-solving. Instead of shying away from disagreements, we discovered that teams that face conflict head-on make decisions that are 82% more effective, and 76% of people actually strengthen their relationships after resolving issues. We focused on a simple three-step approach: First, we emphasized the importance of clearly naming the problem without assigning blame, ensuring everyone is on the same page to avoid unnecessary drama. Next, we highlighted how different perspectives can lead to innovative solutions—when we brainstorm together, conflict can spark creativity instead of division. Finally, we practiced aligning on next steps to keep things moving smoothly and minimize misunderstandings. The outcome? The team left feeling more confident in handling conflict, realizing it can lead to smarter decisions and more creative ideas, ultimately viewing conflict as an opportunity for growth and collaboration.

In a recent session with a financial services company, participants learned how to leverage empathy maps to gain deeper insights into their colleagues, enriching their understanding of experiences and emotions. They explored practical strategies for effectively combining empathy with accountability, focusing on fostering open communication and encouraging self-reflection to create a culture where both elements can thrive. The session highlighted the power of integrating empathy and accountability for effective leadership, featuring interactive discussions and real-world challenges that helped refine these essential skills.
